The Juminkeko Foundation Board of Directors comprises:

- Artist blacksmith, sculptor Antti Nieminen, Deputy Chairman

- Eila Stepanova, folklorist

- Pirjo Uino, PhD, archaeologist

- Researcher, translator, PhD Bui Viet Hoa

- Tuija Wahlroos, Director of Gallen-Kallela Museum

- Writer Markku Nieminen, Honorary Chairman

Pertti Virtaranta was a longstanding member of the Board until his death in 1997.

Juminkeko Cultural Centre is an exquisite example of the Finnish wooden architecture.

The Foundation Juminkeko publishes books, CDs and short movies.

Juminkeko features one of the biggest Kalevala collection in the world.
